Ancelotti awarded the Panchina d’Oro Speciale after Champions League triumph

Carlo Ancelotti received a new and prestigious honour this Monday in Coverciano: the Panchina d’Oro Speciale, awarded by the Italian Football Federation (FIGC) in recognition of his recent UEFA Champions League victory with Real Madrid.

The ceremony, held at the heart of Italian football, brought together the country’s top coaches. Ancelotti shared his insights during a technical-tactical session, maintaining his trademark humility and humour: “Preparing a match is easier than speaking in front of all of you,” he joked.

With this latest accolade, Carlo has now won four Panchina d’Oro awards throughout his career. He was named Best Serie A Coach in 2003 and 2004 with AC Milan, received a Special Award in 2018 for his career achievements, and now adds a second Panchina d’Oro Speciale thanks to his most recent European success with Real Madrid.

Another milestone in the extraordinary journey of a coach who continues to make history.
