Carlo Ancelotti aims to become the only manager with five UEFA Super Cups

Real Madrid will face Atalanta this Wednesday in Warsaw in the final that pits the Champions League winners against the Europa League champions.

Carlo Ancelotti has the chance to write another golden chapter in his already illustrious managerial career. The Italian coach, who will lead Real Madrid in the UEFA Super Cup final against Atalanta in Warsaw on Wednesday, could become the manager with the most Super Cup titles of all time. One more than Pep Guardiola, with whom he currently shares the record of four titles.

This match, which sees the Champions League and Europa League winners go head-to-head, is undoubtedly a motivation for Ancelotti and his players: “We are excited and very eager. It’s the first title of a demanding season, and we want to start well, knowing the challenges ahead. The team is in good shape despite not having had many training sessions.” If Real Madrid were to win, they would claim their sixth UEFA Super Cup, becoming the team with the most titles, surpassing both AC Milan and FC Barcelona.

Ancelotti’s Track Record

Ancelotti’s journey in the UEFA Super Cup began in 2003, when he led AC Milan to victory over Porto. Since then, he has added three more titles to his record: one more with AC Milan in 2007 and two with Real Madrid in 2014 and 2022.
