Ancelotti participates in UEFA and UN’s football party at Geneva
The Charitable match organized by UEFA and UN to foster Peace and Human Rights was a complete success. A charitable match with plenty of goals, great atmosphere in the stands and in which the score was the least important thing, for once.
Carlo was one of the coaches that managed some ex-stars: Ronaldinho, Figo, Raúl, Pirlo, Míchel Salgado… a great number of players that amazed the crowd of the Geneva Stadium. It was a football party that had the aim of raising funds for humanitarian projects and especially to help children in need.
Ancelotti, always ready to help in these initiatives, highlighted the importance of these kind of events: “I think it is very important to help people that really need it. I’m very proud of helping children in need with these projects. I think it is a very important moment for UEFA and for its foundation”, said the Italian Coach.
The support to the Charitable match was very high. Especially when it came to all those who couldn’t go to the match. The UEFA Foundation organized their official website so that people that couldn’t attend could donate online and they have raised more than 30.000€. A sum that has to be added to all the money from the tickets.
