Ancelotti’s Bayern closes the 2016 trashing Leipzig and secures the first place

Bayern gave a step forward in the right moment. What better than take the opportunity to beat Leipzig, the surprise of the Bundesliga, and by-the-way show who is the leader and main contender to lift the title. The Bavarians gave no chance and swept away Leipzig in a fast track. Playing with determination Bayern doubled their lead within 25 minutes thanks to goals from Thiago Alcántara and Xabi Alonso, leaving Leipzig out, and to top it all, Forsberg was sent off after 30 minutes.

Just before the break, Robert Lewandowski made the third from the penalty spot. A goal that finished the game despite there was 45 minutes to be played. Ancelotti could not be more happy with the performance of the players: “I’m proud of them. They have performed very well and played a great game”. The Italian knows what’s they key: “We’ve gone for the match from the beginning thanks to the intensity”. All in all, Bayern arrives to the winter break I’m the best conditions and position to have chances in the run for the title.
