Bayern beats Augsburg and awaits Wolfsburg in the last sixteen of the Cup

Carlo Ancelotti asked for intensity and strength to his players to avoid any surprise in the second round of the Cup against Augsburg, and did not fail. They followed the instructions and within two minutes of play Lahm had opened the score, a game that would ended 3-1, with goals from Julian Green and David Alaba.

Ancelotti praised both the rival and his team dedication: “We have played a strong defensive team and we had to look for spaces. We done a great work.”

The draw for the last sixteen of the Cup took place once the game finished, the round will be played 7-8 February 2017, and Bayern will play against Wolfsburg.
