Bayern return to competitive action against Freiburg willing to fight for every title available

The Bundesliga is back. After an intense of month of preparation, Bayern return to competitive action on Friday, and they’re prepared to fight for every title available. The first step will be to maintain their position at the top of the table when they take on SC Freiburg (20:30 CET). It’s a match in which Ancelotti’s side will have to build upon their excellent showing against Leipzig at the Allianz Arena in their final match of 2016.

Ancelotti believes his players are ready to lead Bayern to the top: “The team is in good shape, physically and mentally. We have worked very well. Now we have to compete hard”. The Italian coach also knows that they have to continue the good form that they found themselves in at the end of the year. “We played very well against Leipzig. Tomorrow we want to play just as well as we did against Leipzig, I’m sure.” Finally, the low temperature will not provide an excuse for Ancelotti. “It’s cold today, it will be cold tomorrow. It’s cold here, but it’s also cold in Freiburg. The cold affects both teams…we are only thinking about winning.”
