Carlo Ancelotti is the best coach in the world. Winner of the 2022 Champions League, LaLiga as well as the Spanish and European Super Cups, the Real Madrid coach was chosen this Thursday as the ‘UEFA Coach of the Year in Istanbul, in a vote in which he beat Spanish Pep Guardiola and German Jurgen Klopp, coaches of City and Liverpool respectively.
This award, the second in his long career, naturally had a dedication to all those who have contributed to placing Ancelotti at the pinnacle of the football world: “It is wonderful to be in Istanbul for this special event. I would like to thank UEFA for this prestigious award. It has been an incredible season, where we have created fantastic chemistry between the team and our fans at the stadium. I would also like to thank my players, my incredible club, and all the people who work alongside us at Valdebebas, without them none of this would have been possible. I also thank my fantastic president, who gave me the opportunity to return to Real Madrid. Finally, thanks to my wonderful family: my wife, Mariann, who gives me the space to do my job. To Davide, my assistant coach, to Ángela Katia, Chloe, Conchita, Mino, Alessandro, Andrea, Aurora, Davide, Ana, Leonardo and Lucas”.
