Real Madrid gives a blow to the League.

Ancelotti’s team wins the derby (2-0) against Atlético de Madrid and strengthens its leadership.

“We have done very well.” Carlo Ancelotti was so happy after his team’s victory (2-0) in the derby against Atlético de Madrid. After successfully overcoming a string of matches where they faced Sevilla Athletic, Inter, Real and Atletico, they secured both first places in the League and the Champions League, stretching their unbeaten run to ten games. There are enough reasons to understand Carlo’s satisfaction, who warned: “We’ve taken an important step in the League, but we haven’t won anything yet. We must be attentive to the second part of the League because we know that it won’t be easy at all”.

Meanwhile, Real Madrid enjoyed the Sunday night game. Real Madrid was superior to Atlético, outperformed in all facets of the game and with goals from Benzema and Asensio. A derby that left the rojiblancos, a direct rival for the title, 13 points away, although with one game in hand. “We are favourites today; it can be said, of course. We have done better than others, but we are focused on the next matches because a mental loss can cost you dearly. We are doing well, and we have to continue because it is the only way to get closer to winning the title as soon as possible”, concluded Ancelotti.
